Sedale Threatt is currently the Athletic Director of Australian Basketball Development (AUBD), Australia's Premier Basketball Specific Training Organization. AUBD was founded by his son, Sedale Threatt Jr (UNGUARDABLE Guard DVD), in late 2007.
Since its inception AUBD has been at the forefront in the development of thousands of amateur basketball players Australia wide.
Directing and coaching the AUBD Squad, Sedale has implemented a high intensity, elite level, individual focused basketball training regimen that increases overall basketball performance and athlete character development.
Located in Melbourne, Australia, the AUBD Basketball Squads train 2 to 4 times per week and every day of the school holidays. Sedale’s Squad members are aged between 10 – 18 years old.
Sedale is continually using his expertise to further bridge the gap between Australian and American amateur basketball development. Each year Sedale travels with AUBD International Squad from Australia to America to compete in Americas highest level basketball tournaments.
Sedale’s AUBD Basketball Squad are the first Australian team to win at an AAU (American Amateur Union) Championship.
AUBD, Australia's most successful basketball development program has facilitated the development and recruitment of 80+ collegiate and pro athletes throughout the world.
In Sedale's time with the AUBD he has been actively involved in Australia's first NBA style league for collegiate prospects, the Super League; coordinated Elite Basketball Camps bballcamps.com.au; mentored coaches & schools, promoting excellence for basketball in Australia.
Sedale continues to work with the basketball development of amateurs in Australia whilst he resides there with family. Threatt is frequently traveling to his homeland, the USA, maintaining relationships, networks and touring with young recruits whilst taking the opportunity to be at home in the states with his family.
